Cancellation and Refund Policy

If our organization cancels or reschedules a program: SkillEase reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to extenuating circumstances beyond our control. You will be notified via email at least 48 hours before the course begins. All attendees will be allowed to reschedule or be issued a full refund of the cost of the course.

If participant cancels: A refund, minus a 15% processing fee will be issued if we receive your refund request via email at least 5 days prior to the start of the course. No refunds will be made after the 5-day deadline. Payment will be forfeited for a no-show.

  3. Commit to Excellence: Deliver high-quality services, maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, and continually improve professional skills.
  4. Promote a Positive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages participation and growth for all learners.
  5. Adhere to Organizational Policies: Follow all policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines established by the continuing education program.

Expectations for Instructors:

  1. Respect and Courtesy: Treat all learners and colleagues with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or perspectives.
  2. Competence and Preparation: Deliver high-quality instruction, ensuring materials are accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to the course objectives.
  3. Punctuality and Communication: Begin and end sessions on time, communicate changes promptly, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of learners by safeguarding any personal or sensitive information shared during the course.
  5. Conflict Resolution: Address disagreements constructively and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate channels.

Expectations for Learners:

  1. Engagement and Participation: Actively participate in learning activities and complete assignments or assessments as required.
  2. Respect for Others: Interact with instructors and fellow learners in a respectful and courteous manner, both in-person and online.
  3. Academic Integrity: Refrain from cheating, plagiarism, or any form of dishonest behavior in assessments or coursework.
  4. Constructive Feedback: Provide feedback in a constructive and respectful manner, aiming to improve the overall learning experience.
  5. Compliance with Policies: Abide by all course-specific and institutional policies provided at the outset of the program.

Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Our continuing education programs are open to all individuals regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

Complaint Policy

We do our best to address your concerns. Any complaints or grievances must be submitted via email to [email protected]. Please include the name, address, phone number, email, profession of person submitting the complaint or grievance, the title of the CE course, as well as the exact nature of the complaint/grievance. The CEA (continuing education administrator) will make an effort to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the complainant.

Privacy and Security Policy

Which information we collect and what we do with it: When you subscribe to our site to receive free or paid products, including online courses, eBooks and webinars, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name; contact information including email address.; demographic information such as postcode, workplace, preferences, and interests; other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers; payment information. Additionally, we collect device-specific information such as your operating system version and device type to enhance your app experience. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and for the following reasons: to generate a certificate; submit your information to ASHA; internal record keeping. We may use the information to improve our products and services. We may send you emails about our site, related services, products or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about new products, services, changes to products, survey you about your usage, or seek your opinion.

How we get your consent: When you provide us with personal information to subscribe to a service on our site, make a purchase, or participate in or consume a digital product, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to unsubscribe if consent is implied.

Disclosure: We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law, such as in response to a court order or an investigation.

Payment: If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third-party payment processor such as Stripe or PayPal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

Third-Party Services: In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the way your personal information will be handled by these providers. Certain providers may be in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us.
